Mark Westerheide, a co-founder of Westerheide Accounting Insights, has over 30 years of prior consulting time, interim Chief Financial Officer (CFO) financial experience in all areas of business accounting within a wide range of business industries, including service, manufacturing, construction, nonprofit, Internet, SaaS, distribution, wholesale, and retail. He is highly skilled in updating and streamlining financial and operational reporting technologies. He has successfully implemented process improvement and provided due diligence in companies that have experienced mergers or acquisitions.

Mark grew up in Ohio, where he graduated from the University of Cincinnati with a Bachelor of Business Administration (B.B.A.) Accounting. It was there that he met his wife, Donna. Before moving to Tennessee, he worked in Ohio, Georgia, Texas, and Washington States.

As a Certified Public Accountant, Mark has served in auditing, cost accounting, and accounting management roles, including Controller and Chief Financial Officer. Mark specializes in creating and executing operational and tax strategies as he helps business leaders increase efficiencies and minimize liabilities.

Co-founder of Westerheide

Donna Westerheide, a co-founder of Westerheide Accounting Insights, has more than 30 years of experience in bookkeeping, payroll management, and human resource management. Before joining Westerheide Accounting Insights in April 2022, she had worked in Ohio, Kentucky, Georgia, Texas, and Washington States, where she worked in the healthcare, communications, manufacturing, and software industries as well as human resources consulting.

An Ohio native, Donna graduated from the University of Cincinnati with a Bachelor of Business Administration (B.B.A.) Accounting. It was there that she met her husband and business partner, Mark.

She helps business executives establish business processes and evaluate compensation and business programs to enhance employee retention. She does this by analyzing processes, helping select and set up accounting systems, and training the staff or teams that will maintain these systems. She also is highly skilled in using QuickBooks, including QuickBooks payroll.

Clients can count on Donna to put systems in place and document them so that staff can maintain processes. Clients know her as knowledgeable, approachable, understanding, and service-oriented, and she brings a sense of humor and extensive experience improving processes and controls.
